My pick for Ascend would be the innumerable stairs of the Nongriat Trek to reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge and the Kumbhalgarh Fort.
The Nongriat Trek is one of the must visit places of Meghalaya but not for the weak kneed or faint hearted. You have to walk past around 7000 plus steps in the entire trek.

The below image is of the Kumbhalgarh Fort in Rajasthan – the birth place of Maharana Pratap. With a wall of 38 km long, the fort is among the largest wall complex in the world. I could just capture from somewhere near the Fort.
